Centers for Disease Control and Prevention . CDC has a wide array of data sets available in print (in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) and online.

The Human Genome Project ? The government-owned segment of the project is available online at www.nhgri.nih.gov and provides a wide array of data sets.

Researching fisheries in the Northwest ? www.streamnet.org has a good data set that may pertain to the environmental segment of the course later.

The same could be said of US Geological Surveys on Ocean Drilling Projects which the library has on CD-Rom.
