The Daniel & Laura Brose Memorial Scholarship was created in December 2001 by Albert and Margaret Chen, Telamon Corporation, in recognition of the support given to them by the Daniel and Laura Brose family. The scholarship will benefit graduate students who are enrolled in, or admitted to, a graduate program with the Portland State University Fariborz Maseeh Department of Mathematics & Statistics. Awards are designated toward the underwriting of tuition and fees, books, instructional materials, and other related costs as estimated by the Office of Financial Aid at Portland State. Usually, there is one $1000 scholarship available. The scholarship may be renewed for a maximum of one year if the student maintains a good academic record and is otherwise successfully progressing toward his/her degree.
