Maseeh Graduate Fellowship for Outstanding Applied Mathematician or Statistician

Amount:  $13,000 + tuition remission

The Maseeh Graduate Fellowship for Outstanding Applied Mathematics or Statistician is awarded to an outstanding graduate student in the PhD program in Mathematical Sciences. This annual award is made in recognition of the importance and need for highly skilled and innovative mathematicians and statisticians.

Applicants must be full-time PSU graduate students seeking a PhD in the Mathematical Sciences. Preference will be given to those students whose allied area is computer science, engineering, biology, applied chemistry, finance, economics, or business.  Selection is based upon merit and is generally awarded to graduate students upon successful completion of required coursework and/or comprehensive examinations.  The departmental selection committee will review applicants and award the fellowship on an annual basis.   The fellowship may be renewed. 

Applicants should submit a current vita, a copy of all academic transcripts, and two letters of recommendation to the address below.
