The deadline is April 30. The nomination letter must include (1) the student's name, (2) social security number, (3) mailing address, (4) phone number, (5) expected term of graduation, and (6) have appended a current transcript. The nomination letter should also include statements regarding outstanding work in mathematics, service to the mathematical community, or promising future work in mathematics. Limit the nomination narrative to one or two type pages. Awards: Up to three students will be awarded $200 - $600 each (award amount subject to change). Students will be notified on or before June 1 by mail and will be honored at the department's annual Graduating Majors Recognition Ceremony. The students(s) will also be honored the following year at the PSU Recognition Ceremony. The Rempfer Scholarship Award is in memory of our past Department Chair, Prof. Robert Rempfer, and is generously provided by the Rempfer Family to encourage promising undergraduate mathematics students.
