Admission requirements

Master of Arts or Master of Science in Mathematics, Master of Science in Statistics, Master of Science in Teaching or Master of Arts in Teaching.

In addition to meeting the University admission requirements, students seeking regular admission status in master's programs are expected to have completed courses in:

For M.A./M.S. in mathematics:  linear algebra, abstract algebra, analysis, and differential equations
For M.A./M.S. in statistics: linear algebra, analysis, and differential equations
For M.A.T./M.S.T:

linear algebra, abstract algebra, advanced calculus, and college geometry.

 The M.A./M.S. programs are designed for the student who wish to prepare for community college teaching, industrial work in mathematics, or further advanced work toward a Ph.D. in mathematics. The M.A.T./M.S.T. programs offer advanced training and specialized courses for secondary school teachers of mathematics.
