I've
spent the last few days here in Portland repairing many of the Moroccan
items which I shipped home from Fes. Anything that could have been broken
in transit was. I've restored the stained glass panels in the brass
lamp, replaced the shattered glass in the mirrors, and glued the ceramic
urns.
The silver tea set still has some bent edges. The rugs arrived unharmed,
and the camel-leather "poufs" have now been stuffed with cotton
batting. The house is slowly being Moroccanized.
Today's
pictures are of the Notre Dame cathedral, taken on Christmas eve.
