article by Richard Skemp. Write a half page summary of the article (single spaced) and then list any questions
you have about the article. Copy your summary and questions into the body of an email and send it to jfasteen@pdx.edu with
the subject heading "Math 211 Skemp: Your First and Last name". To receive credit, please include your appropriate
section "Math 211" and your first and last name.

Make it clear how your system relates to the manipulatives (a.k.a. “artifacts”). Include examples of the numbers 1 thru 25 in your new number system, along with numbers equivalent to 43 and 87 and 203 and 1928. multiplication models. Questions will be given in base 5 as well as other bases, including base 10. Frequently questions

help the student to complete their method (or fix it)?"
Additional topics will include Number Properties and the Skemp article we read for week 2. The midterm will take only a portion of class and the rest of class we will continue regular classroom activities. | ||
