    Assignment #1:  Due Tuesday, Jan. 24, is over material in Chapter 8.3, 8.4, 8.5

         Exercises 8.17, 8.18, 8.19, 8.21, 8.23, 8.31 (Use MINTAB), 8.32, 8.35

    Assignment #2:  Due Tuesday, Jan. 31.  Exercises 9.2, 9.3, 9.4, 9.11, 9.15,

         On the data given in Exercise 9.18, (a) Construct a 95% C.I. for the true mean drying time

         for this brand of latex paint. (b) Answer Exercise 9.27.  (c) Now answer Exercise 9.18.

         (d) Use MINITAB to construct the 95% C.I. in part (a). Cut and scotch tape the MINITAB

         Output into your HW report.

    Assignment #3:  Due Thursday, February 9. Exercises 9.35, 9.40 Use Minitab: (a) Construct two

      boxplots on the same plot to check for equal variances. (b) Construct Q-Q plots to check for normality.

      Comment of these plots.  (c) Then construct the 95% C.I. for the difference in means assuming the model

      assumptions are satisfied.  Exercises 9.45, 9.56, 9.64, 9.67, 9.73, 9.75.

    Assignment #4: Due Thursday, March 1:  Exercises 10.82, 10.83, 10.85, 10.92, 10.96

      Assignment #5: Due Tuesday, March 13:  This is over the one-way ANOVA.
