Sunday: Review session (Math Conference Room NH373) 2-5

Monday: Office hours 1-4

Tuesday: Office hours probably 1-5 (I have to check on a possible conflict but there will be some hours Tuesday)

Get your Chapter 13 practice problems here! This includes a note on how to do 4(b) without having to compute that terrible limit. I'll be uploading complete solutions to the practice problems later tonight.

Now here are the solutions to the practice problems. One confusing typo and one sign error have been corrected (yay students!).

The Midterm will NOT include material from Chapter 10. Here is a study guide for the Midterm:

• Be able to reproduce anything (definitions, theorems, proofs) on the list for Quiz 3.
• Be able to do all the problems on the take-home quiz (Quiz 2)
• Be able to do all the homework problems.
• Be able to analyze series for convergence (as in Section 9.1). The following tests will be provided on a formula sheet: Integral Test, p-Test, Alternating Series Test, Ratio Test.
• Be able to do the problems from Quiz 1 (the group quiz).
• Do the following problems for practice: 9.3: 1, 2, 3, 4 & 9.5: 1. (This list of practice problems does NOT cover everything on the exam - not even close!)
• Make sure you know what it means to generalize a theorem about sequences or series by adding an “eventually” to the hypothesis. Be psyched up to prove such a generalization.

4/20/2011: The Midterm Exam will be Tuesday May 3rd.
